Tweetbot for a website community
Hey Guys - I've been listening to all the old episodes of Web 2.0 and really learning a lot of cool stuff. Thanks for the intro to many good apps and services. My question is this: I am trying to put together a site for t'ai chi people to come and interact in multiple ways - but I wanted to do something more interesting and personal than a Facebook for T'ai Chi-ers. I started wondering if Tweetbot would be a way for members at my site (www.drtaichi.com) to carry on conversations about ... well... T'ai Chi.
Can you offer any more detail about the use of Tweetbot - in other words, would it accomplish a rich communication experience for people who become related only via my website?
Love to hear your thoughts - DDR

David,
I am not sure if tweetbots is the right tool for what you want, it is strictly twitter based. While twitter can be used to drive and track conversations, I think it is harder on the whole to have a collective group conversation on twitter.
That being said, it is possible, just harder than other tools like Google groups or Facebook. You can setup a feedbot perhaps to track t'ai chi keywords, and perhaps setup a DM-bot to allow people to tweet as the t'ai chi bot account as well.
